Carol's Nut List is located in Kimball, Nebraska. The business was started in 1979 by a local homemaker whose son had special nutritional needs. She found that she could only buy in bulk so she asked friends from her extension club if they were interested in buying a portion of the items. With their favorable response the Nut List was started. What was an in-house business grew quickly and in 1983 moved into a 12,000 square foot warehouse with a retail front. A roaster was added in 1984 allowing employees to roast and salt the nuts on site, thereby providing their customers with the freshest, best-tasting nuts possible. JoAnn and Bill Mueller bought the business in 1987. Carol's Nut List became a retail, wholesale, mail-order business with mail-order customers in all 50 states. It has sales representatives in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Iowa and Kansas. They specialize in fund-raising programs available to organizations and executive gifts. Through the years a variety of new products have been added to the original List. Over 200 quality products are now offered. The mission of Carol's nut list has not changed in over 20 years. Employees strive to provide quality products and top notch service for all of their customers.
